And On Sundays We Rest.
Curious Inspiration. The Handspring Puppet Company is a puppetry performance and design company established in 1981 by Adrian Kohler and Basil Jones, situated in Cape Town, South Africa. They achieved critical acclaim when their incredible life-sized horse puppets for the stage show War Horse premiered in South Bank, London, on 17th October 2007. Each horse is controlled by three actors – two to operate the legs and one to control the head and neck, with all three actors providing a variety of sound effects. In this incredible TED talk, they explain their process. Enjoy.
