    And On Sundays We Rest.

Curious Inspiration. Truly great narratives always leave space to keep us guessing. One of the most enigmatic songs from one of the most enigmatic songwriters is “You’re So Vain,” written and sung in 1972 by Carly Simon. Rumored at one time or another to be about Warren Beatty, Mick Jagger, Nick Nolte, Cat Stevens and even Kris Kristofferson, Simon has never divulged the source of the apricot scarf and Lear jet. Notoriously stage-shy, here she gives one of her rare performances of the song, in her hometown of Martha’s Vineyard. A great rendition of one of my favourite songs of all time. Enjoy.
